Outward Bound base camps are amazing places and are home to a community of compassionate hardworking staff members. From the mountains of North Carolina to the beaches of North Carolina and Florida, the North Carolina has five different wilderness base camps and two administrative offices. 

Students will sometimes spend time on these bases while participating in ropes courses, de-issuing gear, or celebrating the end of an expedition. Program administrators, field instructors, and support staff live at our base camps throughout the year. The strong sense of home, community, and purpose at our bases support and inform our staff members’ work with students on a daily basis.
