WHAT: This is the first book to describe in detail the principles of Outward Bound, told through the stories of former instructors and graduates who show how to apply them to create healthier, more effective teams, organizations, and communities.

MEET THE AUTHOR: Mark M Brown spent more than 20 years working for Outward Bound, including more than a decade for NCOBS. He earned a master’s degree in business/entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University and has since served as a transformational leadership consultant in a variety of industries. Mark helped develop some of the first OBP leadership development programs. In 2012 he joined the leadership of a New England company and used the lessons he had learned to help transform the culture of the company. He currently lives in Waimea, Hawaii and guides leaders through organizational transformation.
WHAT: North Carolina Outward Bound School is delighted to be the non-profit of the month at Hillman Beer in November!
