TRAVEL INFORMATION
Traveling To/From Your Outward Bound Course

FLY

NCOBS will purchase you a plane ticket for arrival at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Ft. Myers, Florida. In order to get you here on time for the course start day we may need to fly you in the day before the course starts. Generally we have found that if you live west of the Mississipi River this wil be the case. Please plan for this when making arrangments to be away from work, school or home. If this is the case NCOBS will book a hotel room for you. You will be responsible for getting a shuttle to the hotel when you arrive and for getting a shuttle back to the airport to meet NCOBS staff on the course start day.

You are responsible for your own baggage fees.

If you cancel from the course or do not show up after we purchase your ticket you are responsible for paying the cost of the ticket and the $250 Cancellation Penalty.

EXCEPTION: If you are currently on active duty or are a member of the National Guard or Reserves and receive orders to deploy and cannot attend, we will (with documentation) waive your liability for reimbursing NCOBSā€ˆfor the plane ticket and waive the Camcellation Penalty. After NCOBS purchases the tickets you will receive a copy of your itinerary by e-mail.

DRIVE

You can choose to drive to the course. If you choose this option you will need to leave your car in long-term parking at the airport for the duration of the course. If you choose to drive to the course NCOBS will reimburse you for gas and parking if you mail, e-mail or fax a copy of your receipts within 7-days of the course end.

Outward Bound Check-In Location

An Outward Bound representative will meet ALL arrivals in the Lower Level Baggage Claim Area at the row of seats near Belt 2 and the Lost Baggage Claim Office.

Look for our representative wearing a shirt or hat with an Outward Bound logo and/or carrying an Outward Bound sign.  Our representative will have a list of all student names and will note your arrival.

Our supervision officially begins when students depart the airport by NCOB vehicle or charter transportation.
