Every gift, no matter the size, furthers our mission “to inspire people to discover and develop their potential to care for themselves, others and the world around them through challenging experiences in unfamiliar settings.”

North Carolina Outward Bound School is committed to making our courses available to everyone that would like to attend. The support of our alumni, parents and friends help make this possible.

Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund of North Carolina Outward Bound School allow the school the flexibility to apply funding to where it is needed most.

Gifts to our Scholarship Program allow individuals to experience Outward Bound that otherwise would not have access to such a life-altering learning opportunity. These gifts also support the Unity Project in empowering communities of young people to initiate compassionate social change. Many scholarship recipients are recruited through partnerships in our target communities in which we have a significant family of alumni and friends.

Our alumni return to their communities with the lessons and values of Outward Bound etched into their memories and into their daily lives.
