Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is a way that many alumni, parents and friends stay connected to North Carolina Outward Bound School. We are committed to making our courses available to everyone that applies, regardless of their financial background. By supporting our Annual Fund, you help make this possible.

When making a donation to our Annual Fund, you have several choices as to how your gift will be used:

Unrestricted Fund - Providing the school with flexibility to apply funding where it is most needed within our program delivery and operations.
General Scholarship Program - Providing financial aid, up to fifty percent of tuition, for those qualified applicants that otherwise could not afford to attend our school.
Scholarship Program - Providing scholarships, up to full cost of tuition, for those young people that otherwise would not have access to the Outward Bound experience. Several funds are established in target communities in which we have a significant family of alumni and friends.
Unity Projects - Empowering communities of young people to initiate compassionate social change. Providing scholarships for a group of up to 12 young people to participate in a year-long program. The first phase is a wilderness course in which they build an inclusive community. During the second phase these young people return home to implement projects that break down the barriers of difference within their communities.

We would not be able to provide these life-altering opportunities without the support of our loyal alumni and friends.
