Professional Background: Sandy has worked in post-secondary education since 1971—as a teacher, department head, vice president for academic affairs and college president. He has also served as a communication consultant to business and industry for 25 years and have published various textbooks in technical and professional communication.
Why Sandy serves on the Board: First, I represent Warren Wilson College on the Board because the two organizations have partially overlapping missions with respect to outward leadership. Second, I believe outdoor experiences are important to the growth and development of all of us, but especially our youth.
