COLLIER LILLY RIDE FOR NCOBS
May 27 | The Wedge@ Foundation, Asheville, NC
North Carolina Outward Bound School (NCOBS) is hosting a half century bike ride in honor of Collier Lilly. In 2017 we are riding our 50 miles for 50 years of impact from NCOBS. The ride offers a beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain route, the 50 mile half century with 3,600 feet of climbing, that will start and end at the Wedge Brewery's new location in Asheville. In keeping with Outward Bound’s bedrock principles of “challenge and discovery,” the Collier Lilly Ride for NCOBS will take riders over challenging mountain passes and allow them to discover scenic roads for the first time.
Join the gathering of Outward Bound alumni and friends as we send off our students from the DC Metro area who are attending Outward Bound this summer!
What better way to excite our new students and their families then spending the afternoon listening to alums swapping stories about their own Outward Bound experiences and the impact it has had on their lives!
In the summer of 1967, four crews struck out on the first-ever course with the North Carolina Outward Bound School. Now 50 years later, NCOBS will celebrate this achievement by welcoming the crew members of the 1967 crew back to the Table Rock Base Camp to receive this year's 50th anniversary crew as they finish their own 22-day course.
